Southside Virginia residents banded together in 1937 to serve their communities and enhance quality of life by bringing electricity to the rural area. Today, service remains an integral part of Southside Electric Cooperative’s foundation. The Cooperative provides safe, reliable and affordable power to nearly 48,000 members across 18 counties and actively contributes to the communities where they live, while staying at the forefront of ever-changing technology.
